Pumkin Time!

How funny Michelle, I was just going to ask if anyone had any ideas for places to go 'cause I want to take Jeanette to a pumpkin patch... well, if anyone else have any other sugguestions, let me know!

Pumpkin Patch

I'm taking my kids to The Farm on Friday the 10th since they don't have school. If you haven't been, it's really fun. They have a huge corn maze which I probably won't do but they also have a hay bale maze inside a barn which is easier for little kids. There are a lot of other fun activities. You can get directions and read a little more about the farm at their website: thefarm1.com. It's a great place for fall photos.

Violin

Enrichment Activity

Hi Ladies,
We have been invited to an enrichment activity by Ald. 2ND ward on Sept. 16TH at 11AM at Jen McClellans new house. The topic is creative school lunches. Jen said we are welcome to bring ideas and samples to share. Unfortunately nothing with any type of nuts, the sister who is helping Jen is deathly allergic to nuts, Soy nuts are ok. Our Last Park Play Thursday!

The last park day is at Logan Park, it is a great park. Toys for all age groups, so if you haven't been ,please come. If you need directions, please call me. I will for sure be there, and would love to see you all there. We can talk about ideas for next year, and ideas for fall/winter play groups.

Dragon Park

Bummer weather this week....we are supposed to be at Dragon Park for our Park Play Thursday. I will still be there with my kids to play on the playground, unless someone has a better idea. Hope to see you all there, the weather might be okay to at least play at a park. Please come!!

Forest Park

I am going to Forest Park on Friday around 10ish.

Forest Park is in Everett(google for driving directions). The park has a petting zoo (which closes down for the season on August 17th) the zoo asks for a donation but not required. The park also has pony rides for a dollar, two sprinkler parks(one geared for toddlers), swimming center(2.oo per child/2.25 per adult) and a really nice park.

JETTY ISLAND UPDATE

Please read this if you are planning on going to Jetty Island. We have the 11:30 boat reserved, but only for 40 people, kids included, that was all that was available. But you HAVE to be there by 11:15 to get a boarding pass or or else you miss out and will have to catch the next available boat. Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone. So dont come at 10 come by 11:00. Sorry for my procrastination in getting a boat reserved, I actually had no idea I would need to.....ooops. Next year we will plan this better. But you can still stay as long as you would like.

JETTY ISLAND

On Thursday we will be heading to Jetty Island for our Park Play Thursday. We will meet at 10am, but get there early to get boarding passes for the first boat. The boat is free but strongly urges a donation of $2 per adult and $1 per kid. The boat runs every 30 minutes. The address is:

Strollers are usually a hassle because you have to push them through sand for a bit of a walk from the boat launch to the beach. And the bathrooms are a ways from the beach (for you potty training moms). But other than those 2 annoyances, Jetty Island is beautiful, the kids can play in the sand and water, and the adults can bask in the sun!! Another tip is when you get off the boat pick up a return pass for the time you think you would go back, that way you are sure to leave when you need to. Don't forget sunscreen, it is suppose to be a hot one!! I hope to see you all there! Please call me if you have any questions. AND PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

Park Play Today!

We are going to a great park today! The Meadowdale Neighborhood Park. It is a great park for all ages. If you haven't come to a park play day, then this is a good one. Don't be afraid of the clouds...it is still fun to be outside. Come today, it will be fun!

SWIMMING

I am taking the girls swimming at the Lynnwood Pool at Noon.  The Preschool Pool is open swim from 12-1:30 I believe.  It's a beautiful day, come and swim!

PARK PLAY

Park Play Day tomorrow is an excursion to the ZOO! We are meeting inside the South Entrance at 10:00. Remember there is the new flamingo exhibit. Hope to see many of you there.

I am taking the girls for a relaxing day at Edmonds beach today.  We are going a bit before lunchtime and staying most of the afternoon.  You never know when the sun is going away!!!! There is always room for more at the beach :)

If you aren't headed for the fabulous fun in Kirkland, the McClellan gang is headed to see Alvin and the Chipmunks at 10:00 on Wed. at the AMC Lowes theater. The cost is $1.00. We need some distraction now that relatives are gone!

We are going to the free movies tomorrow if anyone wants to go.

Juggling fun for everyone

On Wednesday the 9th I will be with my kids at the Kirkland Marina, for a "concert in the park". It is a juggler who entertains kids, I have heard it is excellent and fun for all ages. The location is beautiful and there is a playground a few blocks up that we go eat our picnic lunch at afterwards. The juggling starts at 10am. I DID IT!!!!!!

Hi Ladies,
I can't believe I figured out how to do this, I'm technologically challenged. I feel like I just overcame potty training! Yeah for me!!!!!!!

I am taking the girls to Lynndale Park up by the Amphitheater after lunch until about 2:45 if anyone wants to join us.

I'm taking my two youngest swimming today at the Lynnwood pool. Preschool swim time is from noon to 1:30. The cost is $2.75 for adult, $2.00 for youth and 2 & under is free. I think the roof is off the pool now. If you want to see a watermelon in tight nylon, come join us. : )

This week the free movies at Alderwood 7 start up.  I won't be able to go though, because the girls have swimming lessons.  It is every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am, get there a bit early to get a good seat.  This weeks movies are either: Pirates who don't do anything-Veggie Tales, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Also, The Wonder Stage starts up this week as well.  June 25 at Noon at Lynndale Park there will be the Valentine's Performing Pigs-pigs performing tricks.  I have never seen them, but it sounds interesting.

As summer rolls around and we have some sunshine to enjoy, I thought it would be nice to have a convenient way to know what's going on with other moms and their kids. This blog is NOT officially associated with the Relief Society. It's purpose will be to keep each other informed about what activities are going on ahead of time to make it possible for everyone to be in "the know". For example, if you're planning a zoo trip, and would like some company, post your plan a few days ahead of time. People can then respond and let you know if they're interested in coming along.

If you're like me, it's nice to get out of the house and have the opportunity to socialize. So, if you're planning a trip to the park, aquarium - or whatever is on your list - let others know! It will be a great way to make new friendships and stay informed. I have added every one that I have an email address for. If there's someone I've missed, let me know. Pass the word along so everyone can have a chance to stay informed!
